Canadians now owe $1.82 for every $1 they have to spend in disposable income. 31.2 million Canadians now have access to at least one credit product.

The average Canadian consumer now owes about $21,131 in non-mortgage debt. Non-mortgage debt had decreased during the pandemic; however, it has now returned to pre-pandemic debt levels.
